convolution 7/8 punctured data framing

hi all,
i m designing a rate 7/8 convolutional FEC encoder using HDL. its
giving the correct encoded punctured output from FPGA as its being
captured by logic analyser and verified by soft demodulator in
MATLAB. but when the encoded data is BPSK modulated and is given to
radyne dmd15 satellite modem then it doesn't lock with prbs data
stream as input to encoder. i am also using differential encoder
prior to convolutional.
one more thing: that the rate 1/2 convolutional FEC is locked
properly with PRBS so i think the problem may be in the framing
style of punctured data in radyne modem.
please give ur valuable suggestions to help me in solving this
problem.
